In 1968, the student riots in Paris, Rome and the United States overthrew the old, overly severe values and brought in the « Flower-Power » generation of peace, love and harmony. In the same year, Stanley Kubrick imagined the future, the year 2001, featuring in his film the Panton chair that had become a design classic and man was about to set foot on the moon. In the world of design, a colourful and fun pendant lamp was blooming in restaurants and exhibitions and was soon seen in homes, too.
