Published by Louis Poulsen, the VL Studio lighting collection is derived from a lamp model designed by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for Radiohuset, Copenhagen’s former Radio House, in the 1940s. The name ‘Studio’ was chosen because some of these lamps acted as indicators for recording sessions, with a red and a green lamp mounted outside the studio. Launched in 2022, VL Studio uses the same materials and style as the original lamp. It features a three-layer opalised glass diffuser that distributes the light evenly, and a base in black aluminium or brushed brass. The Lamp VL Studio brings a touch of modernity and warmth to all types of interiors thanks to its simple aesthetic and excellent quality materials.
