For Normann Copenhagen, Danish designer Simon Legald designed Amp, a range of refined lamps. The idea for the shape of these lamps came to the designer one day when he was restoring an old radio from the 1960s. The simple oval shape of the tubes and the light they emit are openly referred to, as is the name Amp, which is an abbreviation of the English term « tube amplifier ». The two suspension and table lamp models in the Amp series are now available in brass. The shiny metal reflects its environment by giving it a flamboyant shine that brings personality and brilliance. The brass model is available with two types of lampshades: one in transparent smoked glass, the other in opal white glass.
