Description
Designed by Ron Arad for Moroso in 2008, Do-lo-rez is inspired by the concept of the pixel. The single element of the basic unit of an image is transposed into the basic module of a seating system. Thanks to its flexible square-section parallelepipeds of varying heights, Do-lo-rez gains freedom of form and elevates its modularity until it becomes structural itself. The seemingly simple individual elements conceal a remarkable structural complexity. More rigid at the base, to accommodate a steel spindle, the blocks are softer at the top to ensure maximum comfort. Each module of the Do-lo-rez sofa is removable. The modules are available in the colours and textile combinations predefined by the designer.
