The Vertigo suspension is designed by Constance Guisset, for Petite Friture. This great design chandelier was recognised very early on by Rossana Orlandi and has found its way into many prestigious permanent collections, including those of MoMA, Cape Town and MAD. The Vertigo suspension was also a hit with the public. Vertigo is one of the first very large lustres in design. This suspension lamp is also available with a diameter of 110 cm, Vertigo from Petite Friture is an enveloping « cabin lamp » that suggests a space of intimacy. The extreme lightness of theVertigo suspension lampby Petite Friture, makes it mobile to the rhythm of the slightest breeze passing through the room: the lamp Vertigo gently rotates, drawing a graphic space as if suspended between floor and ceiling. When lit, the Vertigo luminaire casts a shadowy pattern on the surrounding walls, bringing a warm, poetic atmosphere to both the bedroom and above the kitchen table. Adjustable in height, the luminaire blends naturally into its surroundings, adapting to different configurations. Once the lamp is switched on, it magnifies the light and projects a pretty shaded pattern onto the walls of the room. Its layout provides both diffused and intense lighting. The Vertigo suspension is a icon by Petite Friture, which combines iron, fibreglass and hand-laid polyurethane ribbons. This emulsion of materials allows for real work on form, volume, material… The aesthetics of this suspension echo the characteristics of Petite Friture: graphics, detail and finish.
