The Flamingo suspension, a work by designer Antoni Arola published by Vibia, magnificently evokes both the poetic and sculptural qualities of light.Flamingo is a lighting system based on the principle of decomposition. The result is a modular luminaire with radically new sculptural and lighting effects. With its light source separated from the diffuser – which consists of a series of concentric and conical rings held together by thin metal cables – the Flamingo lamp provides both indirect mood lighting in shared spaces and direct lighting above a table or other surfaces. The Flamingo lamps can be placed in different positions depending on the effect required. They can be angled upwards or downwards, projecting light onto the translucent lampshade to create a light, airy effect. The versatile, sculptural nature of Flamingo luminaires means they can be adapted to the proportions of any space, public or private, and offer multiple possibilities for use depending on the type of lighting required.
