Description
The Rely HW138 Outdoor chair edited by &Tradition is part of a sustainable design approach. For its design, the Danish designer Hee Welling paid particular attention to the choice of materials and their life cycle. The simple appearance of the chair and its ergonomic design embody the fusion between minimalism and practicality, while being suitable for outdoor use. The shell of the Rely HW138 outdoor chair is made of glass fibre reinforced recycled polypropylene and protected against UV, which allows it to withstand external conditions. It incorporates about 3.4 kg of recycled plastic, helping to put this material back into circulation. A small water outlet is also integrated into the seat to facilitate the flow of rain and ensure sustainable use outdoors. The base of the Rely HW138 consists of bent steel tubes, then covered with a powder coated coating specially designed for outdoor use, ensuring strength and resistance to weather. Thought in a logic of circularity, the chair has been designed to facilitate repair, renovation and recycling at the end of life. Each of the curves of the Rely HW138 has been developed to offer comfortable and balanced support. Faithful to the approach of Hee Welling, every detail is studied with precision in order to achieve a harmonious result, where contemporary aesthetics and functionality meet.
