The Eames Plastic Side Chair is the updated version of the legendary Fiberglass Chair by Charles and Ray Eames. Designed in collaboration with Zenith Plastics for the ‘Low Cost Furniture Design’ competition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1950, it was the first industrially manufactured plastic chair. Published by Vitra, the Eames Plastic PACC (Pivot Armchair Cast base on Castors) armchair has a castor base. The organically designed shell, which ensures excellent comfort, combines with the swivel base to transform the chair into an office chair.
