Description
The Pix suspension lamp is not just an aesthetically pleasing luminaire, it’s also an ingenious design. To make the lampshade, plastic waste in different shades of white is mixed and granulated, before being heated to a melting point of 120°, allowing the material to be reheated and reused at the end of its life without altering its properties. The thickness of the material gives the Pix an opaque appearance when the light is off. When the light is switched on, the appearance of the material changes, becoming translucent as the light from the bulb passes through and highlights the granulated structure of the shade. Wherever it’s placed, the Normann Copenhagen Pix Suspension is sure to blend into the surrounding interior, while its distinctive shade offers a warm, charismatic glow.
