Description
Designed by Ray and Charles Eames, the Aluminium Group office chair is one of the major creations of 20th-century design. Published by Vitra, its main feature is its judicious assembly of materials to achieve maximum comfort: the covering is fixed and stretched over the side aluminium profiles, becoming a load-bearing element of the structure. The design the Aluminium Group has been designed to fit the shape of the body. The structure of the desk chair signed Vitra has an adjustable rear reclining mechanism and possible locking in the forward position. The seat height is infinitely adjustable thanks to a gas spring. The backrest and seat are padded and upholstered in black or brown leather. The frame is made of die-cast aluminium. The base is equipped with 5 black castors. The 50-year history of the Aluminium Group office chair makes it a design classic.
