The Menhir collection was created in 1983 by Lodovico Acerbis and Giotto Stoppino for the Italian brand Acerbis. The collection is based on the fundamental principles of sculptural art, while taking a bold approach to the choice and use of materials.Menhir presents an assortment of colours and textures highlighting the sculptural simplicity that designers Acerbis and Stoppino demonstrate in their quest for graphics and the development of new forms for their designs.The Menhir collection undoubtedly refers back to Greek classicism and the famous French and British monoliths by erecting a matt column – in marble in the original version, which links the imposing marble base, known as « Rocchio », to its elegant lacquered wooden top; this choice of materials causes a rather striking contrast of colours and elements, but also a certain effect of stability.The Menhir A and Menhir B+E coffee tables, along with the Menhir A+E console, are ideal decorative pieces for bringing character and sophistication to reception interiors.
