Description
Designed in 1957 by Paulo Mendes da Rocha, the Paulistano armchair graced the lounges at the São Paulo Athletics Club for many years: the club was also designed by the Brazilian architect. The constructivist concept of the frame, composed from a single bent-steel bar, and the leather seat give this armchair a light appearance and incomparable comfort. In partnership with Paulo Mendes da Rocha, the Objekto company has decided to reissue the Paulistano armchair. Produced on a larger scale, this iconic 1950s armchair, now in the MOMA collection in New York, is no longer just an object coveted by collectors, but a piece that is available to all.
