Reissued by Carl Hansen, the CH88P dining chair is an example of Hans J. Wegner’s exploration of materials. The elegant combination of upholstery, wood and steel demonstrates Wegner’s ability to create soft, comfortable minimalist forms. Wegner originally developed the chaise CH88P as a prototype with coloured legs for the 1955 Helsingborg International Exhibition in Sweden. In 2014, the chaise CH88P went into production for the first time. The clever construction and stackable quality of the CH88P dining chair make it highly functional. The steel frame combined with the wooden back and seat offer an elegant design and a comfortable shape.
