Designed in 1977 by Vico Magistretti for O Luce, the Atollo lamp has become an Italian design classic, featured in several museum collections, after winning the Compasso D’Oro in 1979. The secret of the Atollo table lamp most likely lies in the assembly of its geometrical shapes: a cone placed on a cylinder, topped by a half-sphere. This light sculpture has a dimmer switch and is available in two versions. The first one is made of black lacquered aluminium and produces a direct light emission. The second is made of frosted glass which provides both direct and diffused light.
