Fritz Hansen is introducing a new polished grey-white granite for the PK61 coffee table top. This extremely durable granite, with its salt-and-pepper tones, blends perfectly with the other pieces in the Kjærholm Collection. The minimalist PK61 coffee table is a creation by designer Poul Kjaerholm. This perfectly proportioned table is a manifesto of the designer’s vision and illustrates Poul Kjaerholm’s evolution from an industrial designer to a furniture designer. Its unique design stems from its structure, comprising four identical elements connected by machine screws. The removable top, simply resting on the structure, exemplifies the designer’s recurring principle of using gravity to hold the elements in place.
